Second Chance, through their individual chapters, often sponsor one of the monthly TRIO/MOST (Multi-Organ Support Team) meetings which offer interesting speakers on topics related to the transplant journey, both heart and other organ transplants. These meetings host medical professionals from a broad spectrum of organizations, including our member hospitals, as well as others from the community at large, with subject content that is often both new and insightful to the patient community and their families. These meetings also offer a chance to interact with donor families who often attend.
Meetings are open to everyone and there is no change to attend. TRIO/MOST usually meets on the 4th Thursday (or Wednesday, depending on the speaker’s availability) at the Gift of Life Donor Program offices (401 N 3rd St, Philadelphia, PA 19123 with free protected parking) beginning at 6:30pm and usually last less than 2 hours:
Our next program is Wednesday, January 25th: a panel of transplant recipients sharing and demonstrating, followed by open audience discussion
